Do you believe that communities thrive when we listen first?
At Trivallis, we do.
We’re looking for someone who will help shape how we work as an organisation, supporting us to embed community development values into everything we do.
You will help us to walk alongside residents, not lead from the front, as we strengthen our community development work in the Cynon Valley. Rooted in a strengths-based approach, this role is all about deep listening, trust-building, and helping people act on what matters most to them.
The Role
As a Community Development Partner, you will play a key role in supporting teams across Trivallis in our approach to community development, particularly in the Cynon Valley, but with influence across the whole organisation. You’ll champion a strengths-based, community-led way of working that values and builds on the skills, assets, and aspirations already alive in our communities.
Key activities and impact include:
About You
You see the strengths in people and communities, not as theory, but because you’ve lived it. You’ve spent years walking alongside residents, not in front of them, helping to create the conditions where local leadership can grow. You know that trust, relationships, and timing matter more than any quick fix. At the same time, you can work within organisations, translating community wisdom into practical action, building alliances, and supporting colleagues to shift culture and practice. You’re organised, thoughtful, and unafraid of complexity. Most of all, you hold fast to the belief that the answers are already in the room, and your role is to help others hear them.
Why Join Trivallis?
We are a community mutual housing association which is owned by our tenants, rooted in our local communities, and working through collaboration and partnership. Joining us means becoming part of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking team. We value our people and are committed to helping you develop your skills and achieve your goals. You will benefit from:
We support flexible working and job share arrangements and are happy to discuss how we can make this role work for you.
The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
