Flexible/Hybrid working

Are you passionate about making a real difference in your community? Do you believe in building lasting relationships and empowering others to thrive? At Trivallis, our “Team around the tenant” model is transforming how we support our communities.

Team around the tenant

At Trivallis, we’re committed to making each tenant feel supported by a team that works seamlessly together. With our “Team around the tenant” approach, everyone involved works collaboratively, focusing on the individual needs of each tenant. This means instead of dealing with different departments separately, tenants experience a united team that listens, responds, and takes action as one. It’s a simpler, more personal way to provide support, ensuring tenants feel valued and empowered

The Role

As a Senior Community Safety Officer, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, strengths-based community safety and antisocial behaviour (ASB) services across Trivallis communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Line managing a team of Community Safety Officers, providing day-to-day support, guidance, and case oversight.
  • Acting as a senior point of escalation for high-risk or complex cases.
  • Championing a trauma-informed approach, promoting tenancy sustainment, community cohesion, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Building and maintaining strong strategic relationships with key partners including South Wales Police, Local Authorities, health and mental health services, social care, and other support agencies.
  • Delivering training, coaching, and reflective practice sessions to strengthen team capability in ASB management, trauma-informed working, evidence gathering, and partnership problem solving.
  • Making informed recommendations on enforcement options, including injunctions, possession action, Closure Orders, and other statutory tools.
  • Representing Trivallis at multi-agency meetings, including problem-solving groups, MARAC, MAPPA, and community safety partnerships.
  • Supporting the Community Housing Manager in leading effective service delivery and deputising for them where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong mix of leadership and technical housing expertise, backed by significant experience as a Manager or Supervisor in a housing environment or a more complex customer services role.

You will possess highly detailed knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding duties, and enforcement tools, alongside substantial experience managing complex, high-risk ASB cases. Your background must include demonstrable experience preparing and presenting cases for legal action, including court attendance, as well as significant experience working collaboratively with police, health, local authorities, and support agencies.

Furthermore, you will have a proven record of effective performance management using SMART targets, demonstrable experience of coaching and developing team members, and a sound understanding of strengths-based and trauma-informed approaches. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.

Why Join Trivallis?

We are a community mutual housing association which is owned by our tenants, rooted in our local communities, and working through collaboration and partnership. Joining us means becoming part of a supportive, inclusive, and forward-thinking team. We value our people and are committed to helping you develop your skills and achieve your goals. You will benefit from:

  • A generous 30-day annual leave entitlement
  • Generous Local Government Pension scheme
  • Flexible/Hybrid working, with three days in the office and two days at home
  • Cash back plan for you and your family
  • Active Wellbeing support groups across the business
  • Learning and development programme where we invest in your personal development
  • Opportunity to be involved in facilitating the diversity and inclusivity across Trivallis

We support flexible working and job share arrangements and are happy to discuss how we can make this role work for you.

The successful candidate will be subject to a DBS check.
