The Role
As a Community Safety Officer, you will champion a collaborative approach that places residents and community stakeholders at the heart of everything you do. You will use a trauma-informed approach to help tenants build resilience and independence. You will also deliver early, supportive interventions designed to prevent anti-social behaviour and cultivate thriving, secure neighbourhoods
Your key responsibilities will include:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring substantial experience working in a housing environment or a more complex customer services role, with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload effectively as part of a wider team.
You will possess significant knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding duties, and enforcement tools, alongside substantial experience managing complex, high-risk ASB cases.
Your background must include experience preparing and presenting cases for legal action, including court attendance, as well as significant experience working collaboratively with police, health, local authorities, and support agencies. Furthermore, you will have highly developed communication skills to engage and advocate for individuals, utilizing a victim-centred and trauma-informed approach to case management.
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role, alongside a willingness to work outside normal working hours.
