The Role
As an Early Intervention and Prevention Worker, you’ll deliver crisis interventions and targeted support to individuals at risk of homelessness, in line with Housing Support Grant (HSG) funding and Trivallis’ objectives. The role focuses on providing intensive, person-centred support to those with complex needs—promoting independence, sustaining tenancies, and encouraging social inclusion.
You’ll support Trivallis to meet its contractual duty to RCTCBC in managing housing-related risks by providing early, proactive interventions that help prevent tenancy breakdowns.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across various teams and services, you’ll enable coordinated support that addresses the wider needs of service users and promotes long-term stability.
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with experience supporting people with complex needs, ideally within a housing or homelessness setting. You’ll be confident working independently in the community, managing a varied caseload, and responding quickly to crisis situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build trust and advocate effectively on behalf of service users. You’ll be well-organised, resilient, and capable of working under pressure while maintaining a person-centred approach.
A good understanding of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and safeguarding is important, as is proficiency in using IT systems and case management tools. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is required.
